Quick question just popped into my head.
I was checking a sort of html dictionary - you know the things, with all the tags and stuff - for where i could use the nowrap attribute in a table (trying to line up text by controlling vertical position with
s, instead of having to use several rows).

Anyway, according to the book, i can use the nowrap attribute in and tags, but not the tag - did they just make a mistake leaving it out of the list of
attributes, or can i really only use it in the and
tags?

Thanks, dd

Well, nowrap in a tag would be mostly pointless, as the chances that you want to nowrap an entire table are remote. However, I wouldn't be surprised it IE and NS accept it in a
anyway.

I've only ever used it in
tags, but I would guess it also works in too. I guess they thought people would only rarely want to use it and didn't anticipate a need for it in .
