So I went out last night. You know that place, trees, cars, sunlight. I went to the cinema to be precise...well, what else could I do after sitting indoors all day than go and sit in an even darker room? I'll cut straight to the chase here - I saw Blade 2 and it was crap. Every single fight scene had elements nicked from other movies and none of it was original. Then the film went right up it's own thrift tunnel, by explaining everything in long scientific terms and patronising the audience by endlessly explaining over and over again.

But, when I got out the cinema - "That was wicked...he killed...everyone!". OK, so one person thought it was good (he shall remain nameless). I asked my beatch - "Yeah, it was cool. I liked it.". Gah!! 2 against 1! Luckily I overheard someone else coming out the cinema say it was crap and immediately adopted him for my crack 'Blade 2 dislike' squad.

So it was a mixed bag of Blade 2 sized onions.

For me the film was formulaic, unoriginal and patronising. It would have been one of those dumb 'oh he killed everyone with a toothpick' movies, where the audience cheers and whoops at the end, but it was trying to be too clever and I wasn't fooled. Wesley Snipes sucks balls as a superhero too. Every movement he makes has to be sudden and heroic. "I'm just going to the toilet" *swish of cape followed by double somersault onto the seat*. It was annoying.

They had to bring that hillbilly back into it too. Surely a 60/70ish year old man taking a pounding like that would have dead long ago - but nooooooooo. Where would the plot be then? I haven't really got a good thing to say about this film - there's nothing that wasn't in the first (which I didn't really like that much). If you want some proper martial arts action, with a twist of excitement, go and get Crouching Tiger Hidden Wotsit - that film rocks all films.

So Whistler didn't shoot himself, yet his hand dropped and the gun fell from it? Bollix. It's all bollix. Do I care? No. I like Waterworld, I cannot pass any judgement on any movies.

Also, from that point on in the film. That was the last you saw Blade at his hide-out. I believe the last scene of the film was when Blade was in Moscow, now when you watch Blade 2, there was a reference to why he was there.

But he shot himself.

Or can the cure get you back from a Bullit In The Head as well?

Theres no sunlight at night :-) Sorry to be cocky.

It seems by your title and the replies in this thread that there are infact mixed opinions about this film. The first was a hit, and though i'm yet to see the second I'm sure it would live up to the first. But then again it is a sequel...*gulp*
