This thread attemp is not for fame or anything like that. Everybody on here is a technology freak {not really a freak though}. This is dedicated to them. So let's try this.

Okay, Okay, Okay, we're not all freaks, but I can say alot of us use computers and other technology and we know more about them then the average person.

I like new technology, but that doesn't make me a freak, does it?

*points at Luke*

Ah, Linux/XP. I seem to remember that Xp uses a bootloader itself like NT, and is a bit incompatable with LILO out-of-the-box.

*Explorers Luke's drive abit*

Yes, on Abyss (XP & Debian) he has some weird XP-related boot files. Read the HOWTO on Linuxdoc.org.

i am not a fan but i havnt really played with it yet, i tried to install it on my system for multi booting with win xp and i totally screwed my master boot record on the win xp drive, so i had to reinsstall xp but it was my own fault for not backing up DOH, i may try linux red hat on my second (slower) system and see if i like it enough, but it is very much like the INTEL and AMD thing, you either are a linux fan or a windows fan i have never met anyone who is both.

Indeed it does! I run GNOME 1.4 with Sawfish, but I use the blue-steel theme for it (E-style), because it's soo pretty but E is too bloat for my computer. I also use Eterms.

Go to http://luke.ac6.org/turbonutter/stuff and see my screenshots (latest nearer the bottom). That large 1.3mb one is a full-screen, but my current background doesn't compress to png too well!

Nope KDE is too girly. I run gnome with enlightenment. Looks far better in my opinion

Gah, Luke (Insomnia) used to do that, and vice-versa until it completely fubarred his Reiserfs drive and killed the installation.

We both run Debian Sid, Linux-2.4.17+preempt (although 2.4.18's out now, yey).

Do you run a GUI? I bet it's KDE...
