TimeSplitters 2 comes out this Friday, right? *Wipes mouth*
Well, me and 8 mates have organised a get-together round mine for a spot of 8-player mayhem. This needs an iLink cable. Have Sony released an iLink cable yet, or do I have to get an unofficial one?
Cheers.

Mostly true, with a few exceptions such as Metal Gear Solid Special VR Missions. 99.9% of the time though, they work.

If you try something like Command and Conquer with the PS2 on fast speed settings then the little vehicles rocket round the screen ten times as fast as they did on PS1. Plus, with several other games including Metal Gear Solid the edges are notably sharper (though you do have to look hard).

Hey hey hey....cool, a Depeche Mode fan :D welcome to the forums casual hero!
My mate has gone and ordered an iLink cable from Amazon for the PS2 - better work, or the arrangement taking place on Sunday will be a waste of time.
I just hope you need one link cable to connect a PS2 with another PS2, like with the PS1.
They are 19.99 from http://www.chipsworld.co.uk/ (space) detProd.asp?ProductCode=4011 - I cant see that SR sell them but they do stock Logic 3 peripherals so they may be able to get hold of them - Ask in Customer Service..
SR sell an I Link cable for linking 2 PS2's together for 12.99 (Don't say I told you but Comet do one for 9.95)
There is a company (again in the States) called Innovation that does an i-link cable and 6-port hub that's compatible with PS2, but I can't find anything at all on 8-port hubs. I know that SR do them (8-port and 16-port hubs for PC, but it doesn't say anything about PS2 compatibility.
I think your best bet is either going to be a visit to Tandy, or e-mail Free Radical Design ([email protected]) asking the development team directly exactly what kit they used to test their i-link play out (they can get up to 16 players, according to their website).
On the otherhand, someone is bound to prove me wrong in the next couple of mins/hours/days/months, not that you can wait the latter eh :D
Anyone else planning on getting a bunch o' mates round for a multiplayer frolick? Anyone else waiting impatiently for this Goldeneye-beating FPS?
Anyone know about the iLink cable?
