Don't know wether I should post this or not but, anyway.

Tommorrow, through the advice of a friend, I shall be taking 6 paracetomal at 6:15am. Then apprently by 7am when I get up, I should look pale and sickly, without actually being very ill at all. Hence missing school.

As few as 20 paracetamol tablets can kill (depends on the individual's height/weight ratio, size and current health).

The reason only 6 tablets make you look pale and pasty is becuase your liver is kicking into overdrive when you take them all at once, it's trying to produce glutathione (a natural antidote that destroys one of the highly toxic by-products of paracetamol) but can't quite produce enough.

If it fails to produce enough, the toxin will start to kill off your liver cells. Paracetamol poisoning is unusual in that you won't notice anything wrong for 24-36 hours, and then you'll notice the severe pain in your stomach (that's what's left of your liver crying out for help). By that stage, it's generally too late to do anything. You either get a liver transplant immediately or die. (One study showed that one in 10 liver transplants are due to paracetamol overdose).

So if you do take six at once, make sure you inject some artificial glutathione antidote within 10 hours to make sure your liver can make a full recovery.

It would be much simpler just to get some mascara and draw black rings under your eyes if you want to fake illness and get a day off school.
