There will be a number of bundles available too, like the game and modem, game modem and keyboard, or even Gamecube, PSO, modem and keyboard.
Which will hopefully put an end to all of these Phantasy Star Offline rumours. Though I'd actually prefer that game.
No mention of the broadband adapter yet though, but hey, who can get broadband anyway?

Sorry, just had to put in the Simpsons quote :D
"Oh kent, you can use statistics to prove anything. 45% of all people know that."
As anyone can get access to broadband internet, just like that.
Heh, foolish to think the old 56K modems are past it yet, as it's all most of us will be able to use for quite some time yet.
It might be future proof, but right now it doesn't cut it, unless you live in the middle of a city, which, believe it or not, most of the population don't.
Basically, consoles aren't ready for online gaming on a large scale in the yet, give it 5 to 10 years, when broadband is more widespread in the UK, and then it might have a chance of taking off. Until then it'll be seen as something for more 'hardcore' gamers.
At the very first GC conference where the unit was shown off, Yugi Naka (head of Sonic Team) announce PSO would be the first online game for the GC- even though Nintendo refused to comment on the online capabilities of the console.
But don't get too excited... it's gonna be ages till online gaming takes off in the UK. Esp. when the modem isn't standard!
The only company serious about on-line console gaming is Microsoft, hence why they built in the broadband adaptor. Both Gamecube and PS2 need add-ons, which always flop. Less than 10% of console owners buy into any add-on, which basically means they don't get supported.
Like I said, even with the XBox, I don't think this round of consoles will succeed on-line.

Mixing $ and £ - make your mind up!! Broadband IS expensive, because there is the initial set up (varies depending on your location), and £30+ per month, which is very expensive. Then, there is whatever Nintendo charge you for their services each month, which could be anywhere from £5 to £15 cos' you know what it's like in this country.
I don't care what people say, broadband aint' happening for this round of consoles. Sure, they might be able to access the internet and games may sort of work on-line in some fashion, but it'll be naff.
But Phantasy Star is sposed to be good on-line, but still, it doesn't currently make me wanna set up my Cube on-line as soon as possible.
Though that's not confirmed by those who'll be paying the bill :)
