I think that maybe he freed her from the curse and she just ended up with her saviour, or the real Yorda could still be in the castle and it could be the Queen who succeded in getting Yorda's body, after all whose to say that killing the Queen didn't help her take on a new form ?

I did enjoy it - beautiful game - couldn't leave it once I'd started. Not particularly taxing, though - puzzles were fairly straight forward.
Also, as my mate FatButcher said in another thread - not much replay value, apart from seeing everything Yorda says in English.
Glad I played it, but I'll probably trade it. Anyone want to buy it for £20? :-)
