Nowadays people play online games all the time, at a cost. Whats the point of getting a decent game that has many single player challengers and overall is a great game and you would like to play from a different point of view, and would also like to get the most out of it.
Take Quake 3, overall this is a great game and has many weapons and the playability life span is great, but after a while you know the computers tactics and would like to hvae some one try to frag you in a different way. But, you are unable to pay the bills for the server you play on and for the amount of times you play on a game and want more you'll have to pay the connection fees and the fee of the server.
If you wanted to make your own server and play online games for free it would cost atleast 4000 pounds for a decent one.
