When I work on computer in the day, struggle with email + web which is as reliable as the Army’s SA80 rifle, I dont want to return home, plug a game in the drive and get error msgs on my tv. I dont want to get half way through a game and then the thing crashes. Games consoles are not supposed to be like that. Life is to short.
Now if you own an Xbox, you may well be wishing you could run games like GTA3. Admit it, you are out there - lots of people on other sites asking when GTA3 is launching on Xbox. I dont want to be stuck with one (poss 2) games, when most people have loads to choose from. And even many of the multiformat games come out later on XBox and look no better - why wait.
When I go into GAME, there is hardly ever anyone using the Xbox. Perhaps they cant find the Reset button. I have seen several which have locked up or have an error msg.
Last, if enough people put up with the poor quality of XBox, MS will keep churning them out like it. The only way it will get better is for the users to admit to the issues, and complain, complain, complain. Force MS to improve it - dont put up with sub standard kit - improve it or change it.
