This is n't having a go at Playstation or anything but I was thinking this morning what would have happened if the Playstation had never been created. Would Nintendo and Sega still be battling for supremicy of the video game market. Maybe the Dreamcast would still be being produced and the Saturn may have not as been so bad. Or would Nintendo have gone to the No.1 spot with the N64 and now the Gamecube ?

All I ever see in football matches is CIS Insurance and Playstation banners....

The world wouldn't really be any different, but gaming would probably still be an sterotypical arena populated solely by kids and spotty, pale-face geeks, and people with no social life.
Instead of what it is now - an arena populated solely by TRENDY kids and TRENDY spotty, pale-face geeks, and TRENDY people with no social life.
