Veron is injured and should be out for at least two weeks.

Veron's mistakes and poor form have led to us losing a lot of games this season. The two that stick out are the Chelsea game and boro just the other day.

He is a liability. Somthin you would never think of saying about a player who cost near £30 Million...

His absence should improve our chances in the champions league and premiership. It will allow us to play with the orginal championship winning midfield. It will allow us to play with the in form players. Veron allways seems to play if he is fit, while Scholes usually makes way for him.

The proper balance should be returned to the team in the next few weeks. And i expect no more defeats without Veron. Starting with a win against Deportivo tonight.

(off topic) Fergie came out with some funny stuff yesterday. He claims Deportivo finished 2nd in their group on purpose becasue they would rather face Man Utd instead of Liverpool or Bayern. Sounds a bit far-fetched, but he has good back-up...especially considering Deportivo made 9 changes for the final game against Leverkusen.

Plus he played well for England in the first half against Italy the other week, could have booked his place in the squad...

Yes we'll miss keane but we always do he's our engine
without him we have a big piece missing to our red machine but we'll keep motoring on..

Butt on his day can play really well hence the depo match, I agree sometimes he plays a bit wayward but he's good at getting stuck in and can mix it in midfield with anyone.

I think Becks will be alright - he's bruised up but he'll fight just like all the Reds.

Giggs Butt Scholes and Becks is a good midfield for the Prem.

For europe we will have to think of something we have good young players and Stewart is one of them we can also play Ronnie Johnsen in centre mid as a stop gap other options are to go with 3 attackers and really have a go at them.

Fergie is a shrewd man, I have faith and so should you.

Without Beckham, Keane and also Veron in our midfield, our chances of winning ANYTHING are now begining to look very slim indeed! But I still think we'll progress into the semi's, due to the 2 away goals! Lets just hope the defence holds out at Old Trafford.

So who can we rely on in our midfield now for those 'big, key games'???
Only Giggs and Scholes, and also Butt!
Doesn't really help does it - as there's still one space left to be filled. And I don't believe that Chadwick, Fortune, or anyone else from out current squad has what it takes to help get the job done!!

I will be amazed and pleasantly surpirsed if we win the league and these key games this season! :S

Becks is world class..

any England Player laughing right now

will cry if he doesnt play in the World Cup because
they have no chance without the likes of becks, owen, gerrad scholes, Rio

Veron is a class Player needs time to adjust just look @ Pires,
Hasselbaink, Hyypia, they all took time to adjust.

Probably at least a season.

weve seen glimpses of his class against Spurs, Villa and a few other teams

he'll be back nxt season stronger and better than ever.

If England are to have any chance then Beckham and Owen will have to play every game.

The England Midfield of Beckham, Scholes, Gerrard and possibly Dyer down the left could be flippin unstoppable. Almost perfect balance.
