It's quite an old game now, but I really have no greater gaming experience than playing MI2 on the Amiga, all 12 floppy disks and all. I remember when you actually got genuinely stuck on a bit, and just had to keep perservering with it, for example when you had to use a monkey on a wrench (monkey wrench, aha!)- that held me up for 3 days. I remember the great jokes, the fantastic music, and the the crazy sense of humour. I was wondering whether anyone else has fond memories of that game.

I really have had a thing for lucasarts since then, and I've enjoyed playing maniac mansion, sam'n'max, MI1-4 and grim fandango.

Hit me back.

I liked the Monkey Island games.

"Select you weapon."

"I select the banjo."

It sure was- I thought Monkey Kombat was hilarious. MI3 was a little disappointing, and they will never replicate the overall fantasticness of MI2, but it was a damn good game nevertheless. Best bit for me? Um, Monkey Kombat of course.

I thought the latest one (Escape from Monkey Island), was very good.

Read my review of it here:
