In narrative, the second perspective is hazy. the first person perspective is you, me, I, and so on. the third person view is classed as he, she, they. the second perspective, therefore logically, would be from a bystander or overlookers perspective.
in film, the second person perspective is rarely used. in almost all cases it is a third person perspective. first person is only ever used to illustrate the fact the featured character is creeping, or watching others. in the 'tell-tale heart', we are made too feel like we are the anti-hero of the story from the use of first person perspective in the film.
in gaming, the camera is usually in a first person perspective for Shooters, so that a target can be placed on screen. however, in games like Spiderman, the ability to use a target on screen, while remaining in active third person perspective, can also be achieved. some games, usually only in cutscene, use a limited 'second person perspective'. third person perspective is used most widely. it means you have full viewing ability of your character, and you can accurately judge your ability to jump gaps or negotiate a obstacle, something which is not usually used in FPSs.
so what is a second person perspective? it would seem to be that it means the perspective of a bystander, an onlooker, or even (in gaming) an enemy.
that was the definition of second person perspective, written, read, and produced, by Boss_Pac_Man.
