After storming sales in both Japan and North America, the NINTENDO GAMECUBE is finally coming to Europe. We bet you’re all as excited as we are and have a billions questions buzzing round your head.

When is the release date?
How much will it cost?
What games n’ gizmo’s will be available for me to buy at launch?
How many GAMECUBE’s are Nintendo shipping to Europe?

Just sit back and let MARIO’S MASTERCLASS answer them for you.

The NINTENDO GAMECUBE will be released in Europe on May the 3rd. It may seem like a long wait but Nintendo have their reasons. With games like Resident Evil and Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader have franchise related films out during that time and with a huge demand foe the machine, Nintendo need to make enough machines to go round or leave potential customers very disappointed. They seem to have this problem solved with over a million Gamecubes ready to sell from day one.

Still, any disappointments you have in the delay are more than made up for by the prices. With the SONY Playstation 2 and MICROSOFT Xbox having launch prices of 300 pounds, you’ll be pleased to know that the NINTENDO GAMECUBE will be launching at just £150.
That’s right, you’ll be paying half the price for the better machine!

Games have been given a set £37 price tag – much cheaper than the £50 we were paying for Nintendo 64 games.
You’ll need a £15 Memory Card 59 to save your game. (Unfortunately, in stepping up from Cartridges to Mini DVD’s, the ability for you to save directly onto the game has been lost)
The GAMECUBE Pads have been priced at £25 each. You could buy a cheaper third party version but we wouldn’t recommend it.

To order a Nintendo Gamecube, please click on our sponsors at the top of the page.

Ofcourse, no games console is complete without its games and this is where the NINTENDO GAMECUBE excels. From day one there will be no less than 20 games.

These include:
(Click on a title for our review/preview)
Luigi’s Mansion, Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader, Wave Race: Blue Storm, Super Monkey Ball, International Superstar Soccer 2, Sonic Adventure 2, Spiderman: The Movie, Universal Studios and many more, each one a gleaming example of what Nintendo’s new machine is capable of.

And if that’s not enough, Super Smash Brothers Melee, Resident Evil and Pikmin are following it within a few weeks. We know, ofcourse, what you’re all thinking:

“Where the hell are Mario and Zelda?”

Don’t worry. Nintendo’s mascots aren’t missing, they’re simply in adventures so damn big, it’s taking Nintendo extra time to finish them. Mario is appearing in Super Mario Sunshine in time for Christmas, roughly six months after the launch.
Zelda is also in development with an intriguing new Cel Shaded look and should be around in early 2003.

We can barely hold our excitement. Keep your eyes peeled for more news as we get it. We guarantee that you always find it here first

Admit it though, Dringo, this is the only one you REALLY fell for! ;-D

Thanks. Comments like that make it so worth while. I probably should've started "spamming" with "da games master!!!!" sooner. If I'd built up a bigger "hate club", I would probably have caught more people out... :-)

Blantantly copied? You'd think so, but no.

Take a look at the guy's tag line...

That's right. Mario's Masterclass does not exist (as far as I know...) and if it does, it certainly doesn't have this article.

Making this joke?

Harder than I thought. The article was fairly easy to spoof and come up with once I'd thought of a "site name".
Trying to use txt speak though.... urgh!

I never realised that authentic senseless spam could be so hard to engineer...

I almost gave it away making "da games master!!!!" too stupid! :-D

It would've been perfect if Grix had been here and fallen for it... :-)

Yep.

Funny how he changed so much in writing this topic and the other one.

Intelligent (but copied) to Dim (but un-copied).

I think we should treat da games master!!!!!! with a little bit of respect.

Given the amount of times he uses the word "we", when clearly he is a single person, I can only assume that he's a member of the royal family. As such he has suffered a tragic loss and we all need to give him the space he needs.

Alternatively he just copied it from a site where the person writing was speaking for the site as a whole. It really is stunning that someone could be so bad at copying. It almost makes me think that he wrote the topic himself and inserted the giveaways as a joke. Surely no-one could be *this* stupid...
