Anyone heard of these guys? I started listening to one of their older albums earlier today, called "Twisted." I'm not sure what category of music to put it in...not garage, nu-metal of grunge. Probably rock, but with not that much shouting.

I think they're excellent. A lot of variety in their songs, meaningful lyrics and there's one song which is very emotional, and moved me quite a lot. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, though.

Little fact I found about them, they sang the "theme" for Scotland World Cup 98 campaign. In fact, I've got it on my "Allez! Ola! Ole!" CD, the official soundtrack to World Cup 98. :D The best song on there is the Cameroon theme. It may be in a different language, but it's damn catchy.

Anyway, from what I know they haven't made anthing for a while, but have a listen if you ever get a chance.

Del Amitri are a very good band in my view. Their frontman and lead singer Justin Currie is very talented and twisted is probably their best album.
I'm not sure how many of you have heard of them before and as Ant said if you can then do give them a listen. Also the video for "roll to me" is very very cool.

Some of their best tracks in my view are

roll to me
tell her this
Driving with the breaks on
hear and now

In fact the whole album is good and it has been out since about 1995 so it should be quite cheap now. Go buy it.
