I am trying to conect ith the MSN chat service but I cannot download the server which is necessary for the process to happen. It says that there is a error which is preventing the thing form being downloaded onto my hard drive.

If you've got Kazaa running with MSN it will probably crash MSN. The two programs don't get on well together so it could be what's wrong with your PC. Always have an up-to-date virus killer though, you can get them from cover discs or download them from many websites, like www.tucows.com, so there's no excuse not to be protected just in case.
But, yes, download Trillian and make sure MSN is not on your start up list. That might do the trick.

Pb, do you think MSN could be what crashed my pc? I have a pretty slow processor, I assumed it was KaZaA and I'd downloaded something bad. hmmmmm *ponders*
MSN is a pain, it sometimes froze my PC on start up, had fits and used a load of processor time. That's why I now use Trillion. It can replace MSN, Yahoo, ICQ and AOL all at once and is much more stable than MSN. It also has some cool features, such as much better smileys.

That used to happen to me a while back. Then my computer totally crashed and I got a new one and it works fine now. You probably have a virus or something like that.
