I would think that most of us if not all of us here would say we are gamers, we play computer games and we enjoy it. But there are many different kinds of gamers. What kind are you?
Are you:

An all rounder: Likes all games on all formats, knows what games are good and what games are crap because he'll give them all a go before passing judgement. A free gamer, they will play a PS2, Gamecube, XBox, PC and isn't bothered who developed the game as long as it entertains them. An all rounder likes games full stop, they appreciate the fine points of each game and don't try pick out the errors, bad points or missed out options as they appreciate the time, effort and money that has been put into its creation.

A Fanboy: A fanboy is a name created somewhere on these forums, a fanboy loves one company and one company alone. Whether it be nintendo, Sony, Microsoft etc the fanboy will be there to offer biased views and stick up for their chosen console even if they know the other people have a point. They may only ever experience games made for one console by certain developers as they believe all other games are evil and will make them dirty and smelly.

An On-line PC gamer: These are an odd bunch, running around screaming "wOOt" and calling people "nOObs" when they fail to understand what is going on or throw a grenade in their face(in a game of course). The speak there own language, missing out key letters just so they can type faster in fear of being killed in there game. The log on or create their own servers and play with others, join clans and become friends with people they have never met, some may be dangerous old men whi like young boys or some may be young boys who like old women. Allsorts are found here as well as the normal people just wanting to play games. they only buy PC games, on-line PC games of course and from time to time spend more on upgrading, modifying and trying to have the best PC to take on and beat oponents.

Casual Gamer: play games from time to time, buys games that look good, take them back if they aren't. They don't care who makes the games, what review score it gets or if there is a chance of the female hero expossing breasts. They just want to play a good game from time to time.

The Drunk gamer: I'm sure we all know someone like this. When the beer cans come out and the console is switched on they seem to get better and better with the more alcohol they consume, maybe everyone else is getting worse but in most cases they actualy get quite good and can make a fool out of even the best of gamers. of course there comes a limit when too much alcohol will cause a severe drop in ability to play the game and function properly so be warned.

The rich Gamer: Has more money than sense, will buy all the consoles and games that they want, when they want. Even if they only play it from time to time they feel no need to swap games or sell them on, they just add them to the collection.

The Swapper: Never buys new games, will swap any games they have for other swaps or pre-owned games.

The collector: Collects games, maybe plays them on occasions but just wants to collect certain games and all merchandise associated with them - A bit sad really.

The retro gamer: Likes games, old games though. From the SNES, NES, Megadrive and to even earlier stuff like the Amiga, Spectrum and Dragon32. They don't need fancy graphics, peripherals, storylines etc. They appreciate the basics, wear atari t-shirts and wander into shady looking small shops for bargain old games that some silly bloke has thrown away.

So what are you?

We could have more.
Naked gamer: likes to be one with nature while gaming, no clothes allowed just you and the games. Warning though some peripherals may not be suitable for naked gamers such as duel shock controllers as there is a danger to vital parts.

Crap gamer: no matter how hard they try, no matter what kind of faces they pull, such as the constipated look and the tounge of concentration this brand of gamer is just plain crap. They get beat by all their friends, can't beat the computer and struggle on the easy option.

The head up there own rear gamer: they think they rule, could be a pro and beat anyone there is. If and when they get beat they make up poor excuses such as faulty controller or button bashing by the opponent. They well talk a good game but usually when it comes to playing it they are like your grannies pants.

I come into these 2 categories. I'm open minded when it comes to games, and I do love playing my old Mega Drive games
