Wondering what the hell "~$Rachel" is? The truth is, so am I.

I've been getting many emails from addresses unknown to me with ~$Rachel as the subject. Now, I've not even bothered opening them as it should be obvious to nearly everyone that having lots of emails from different people with the same unusual subject name will contain a virus or be virus related.

Anyway, so far I've blocked all the email addresses they've been coming from, but what is also happening is that I get messages from Microsoft's Mail Delivery System claiming they are returning my emails to the sender (basically saying emails I'm sending with ~$Rachel in the subject bar aren't getting through to the address they're supposed to).

The fact is, I've not been sending any emails from this account! I've not been hacked and there's certainly no virus on my computer so all I can put it down to is one or more of Microsoft's MSN servers has a virus!

Unless anyone else can explain it...

It's never happened to me personally, but at one point my sister was getting 100 mail delivery failed notices a day from something called 'goldfish' trying to send to people. We also keep all our PC's virus scanners up to date, so it can't be a virus at our end.

Strange...
