OK Lets go back in time..........

*Turns on smoke machine - cue SFX*

Its 1950, the war is over and everyone is looking for something to do in their spare time.

You now have the knowledge to enlighten the people about the Future of Gaming as you have already been into their future.....

You have the oppurtunity to invent a games console and 1 game, but that is all.

You must think carefully about the durability of the console as it will have to last around 50 years, which also means the 1 game you include with the console will also need to keep them occupied for a very long time!

Think very carefully.

What games console and 1 game would you provide the people of 1950 with?

Here's my choice.....

I would invent GameBoy Colour with Tetris as the 1 game.

Ive chosen the GBC because unlike with other games consoles they dont have loads of wires which are likely to break or be put in the wrong place.

The GBC unlike the Black and White GameBoy has colour which would absolutely amaze the people of 1950 as they wouldnt have seen anything like it before, because colour wasnt invented then.

The GBC is also pretty small and very durable, I know this because Ive dropped mine on hard concrete floor many a time and its never broken...... Well hell, Ive thrown mine at the floor many a time with no effect.

Tetris is one of the most addictive games ever.... It wouldnt complicate people, I mean what is there in Tetris that *could* complicate anyone?

The highscores would also keep people playing, trying to beat all of there friends on it.

Yes I know youre probably going to mention the batteries, but what the hell, Im sure they could run it on coal or something.

I was going to suggest the gamecube because of all its other uses other then gaming, but I thought the Nintys may get a bit annoyed.

or maybe I could have said that the PS2 could have kept them warm in the winter.... being a radiator and all.

I would invent the Jaguar and an Army Men Game

No seriously, I think Tetris is a good choice as it really does have unlimited playing value
