Just turned on BBC1 and it is only been announced to the press a few minutes before 6pm.

If you dont believe me turn on your tvs.

All I can say is:

1. It took her long enough, didn't it?
2. She was 101 years old, for God's sake! And all these people were saying, "Oh no! It came as such as shock!"
3. If one of us were to die, would we get the same publicity and mourning, and would our families get as much sympathy? No!!!!

I'm sorry if this offends anyone (and I'd gladly get a moderator to remove it), but I'm glad that she croaked, I mean, she was a Nazi sympathiser, was incredibly stuck-up and probably the most miserable person on the planet, I really don't like the sound of that. Maybe it was better for her to go than to drive the rest of us into further depression. Just to sweeten the post a little, I'll say me 'goodbyes'.

Shaneo that's a very moving tribute, and hats off to you for writing it, but you've now posted it in about 8 forums. Once is enough, okay?

It's nice to see someone who cares enough to write in detail though rather than a one line "RIP" comment.

Just heard it on the news about five minutes ago. Someone told me to switch over to BBC1, so I just did and saw it on there. There's about 4 channels doing tributes to her (which I think is over to the top, but oh well!). I offer condolences where they are due to the royal family etc, but we can't say that we weren't expecting it really, she was very old, and I predicted (not that I normally predict these things, I'm not a morbid b****r!) that she'd die either this year or next year. This can't be good for the Jubilee though can it? I'm sorry to say this, but I can't see the Queen living much longer either now, she'll probably die from a broken heart.
