I was looking through the back lists of PS1, PS2, GC,DC and Xbox.
What I noticed was that some games are REALLY bad, but the thing is these games get sequels which are even worse.
Now I buy game which have good reviews from mags mates etc. And even though some of you will say we all have different tastes and mag reviews are bad. But you can tell me that if 5 mags give a game a score of 20% or less that it can still be good.
Anyway my point to this is that the developers of these games make sequels, or carry on making games as bad as them, so they must think people love it. Why? Because people still buy the games.
Rich people will do it as they will mostly have all the other games in the 80% + so they want another game and buy it. Or stupid people buy it because, it was on offer, or they are just stupid. Example: Mate goes to shop with money for Zelda…he gets to shop and picks up game. Goes to counter…sees carmageddan for £20, reading sale…so he puts Zelda down and picks up carmageddan.
So the company has sold a game and they think its cause its good, so they make more like that.
So are these rich/stupid people a good or bad thing to gaming?

Companies keep getting funding and make more games making the games back log massive. Means more companies can afford to go into gaming and some day hopefully result into a good developer.
Bad points
Bad games keep coming and coming.
What do you guys think good or bad thing? And why?

It's a bit like ugly girls that have the strange idea that they're all that cause blokes bang them out of desperation.
if people buy games then the developers have reason to believe its good and the public likes it.
Beacuase Its not Everyday that a company can think up of a great and original idea for a game. And also most companys don't spend the time and work such as games like Zelda and Starfox.
You can't dictate who buys what. Even review scores are only opinions, not set in stone. I think Tekken 4 on the PS2 is one of the worst games I've seen this year, I thought that Resident Evil on GC was rather poor in terms of playability.... this goes to show that reviews are not always right. Let people buy what they want.
