Hi, I have spoken to freeola help desk about this now I would appreciate an answer from someone who knows what they are talking about. Every time I try to upload my website, I get the message, not connected to server. I know I am connected. I laso know this is not a problem with my PC as I have tried it on another PC. I am using WebArtistSE, which was a gift from Special Reserve & I had no problems before January 30th this year.

Anyone with a clue please.

Meh! Maybe the software you got free was a trial version and the trial period ran out on January 30th!

If that's not the case (I suspect it probably is though), then check your Freeola connection is running when you're uploading, and download a decent FTP client such as smartFTP (It's freeware and has no trial period limitations like stuff like CuteFTP which is shareware), which you can download for free from www.smartftp.com

Try using some dedicated FTP software with an error output to see what's actually going on.

Are you using Internet Explorer??

If so, just try useing the built-in FTP in that to tst the site. You'll need your Freeola ID and Web Site address, and stick it in the Addres bar, like so:

ftp://[email protected]/

If you are able to login ok, then it's your FTP software that isn't working, otherwise if this also doesn't work, then it might be a Freeola problem.

Just make sure you are connected through Freeola.

Yes, I am connected to Freeola at the time. It is very annoying, as I needed to get an important message out to fellow airline employees before 1st April, but it is too late now.

I don't use Freeola personally but I'll try to help you. Are you connected to Freeola's ISP? I'm not to sure but I think you have to be connected to this to upload files to your freeola account. Also, has that Webartist got a built in FTP client? Maybe that is a little bit dodgy, you will be able to find one of the best FTP clients at www.cuteftp.com.

Sorry if this doesn't help.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Excellent support service!
I have always found the support staff to provide an excellent service on every occasion I've called.
