It all started back in the day of Donkey Kong, in which you play Mario a little plumber man in dungarees with a huge moustache jumping over barrels to save the princess (who was a little pink sprite).

That was about 15 years ago but look at gaming now...
Who'd of thought the graphics have advanced from pink and red sprite blobs to "so many thousand polygons".

but look at the future... say another 15 years. How much the graphics will have advanced and ask yourself "Is This a good thing?"

Sony have already claimed that Playstation 3 "COULD" be 1000 times more powerful than PS2, but how wrong would that be?
Imagine games like "Resident Evil" with "Real life quality graphics" and think how sick that would be!!!

ELSPA and the BBFC would have to up the age rating to like "XXX 21's ONLY" because the pictures are so disturbing.
I know i'm only 14 and I'm men't to think "Real life quality graphics" are men't to be "Excellent" or in my language "Dope" but it's sick.
Also I'm men't to think violence and blood is cool and don't get me wrong I enjoy the odd GTA3 or State Of Emergency but playing these games with the graphic quality in the next 15 years will make me into some "Twisted Psycopath".

Kids won't be able to distinguish the difference between reality and videogames, and that has defeated the object of gaming!!!

ANYWAY I'm out,and yes I'm one of the few 14 year olds who know's the difference between stealing a car and playing GTA3.

"So you should be about 21 when the PS3 comes out.
No worries then."

i'm not saying i'm worried that games will be like "21's only" and whatnot, all i'm saying is that do you really wanna be playing games in which you can see every intricate detail on a body e.t.c

like for example imagine perfect dark with "The best graphics in the world" and you shoot someone in the head and theres a huge bullet hole going straight through their skull...
doesn't anyone think thats slightly wrong?

Ooooo, get you.

But evil little kids - about 10, are conning their clueless parents all the time into buying them stuff.
You've seen them in shops "Mum, this is good" etc. etc.

If the game carries no warning or certificate then the little kids, who can't judge anythng properly yet will see all the blood and gore and nasty things.

But, yes, if only mature people played games then we should be able to decide what is right ad wrong ourselves.

I don't won a Resi game because I don't want to be scared shiteless and blow skin-less babies to hell thank you very much.

I think that the entire idea of legislation, sensorship and administrative figures trying to shield our eyes from content which they deem unsuitable is, well, ludacris and stupid. If something is not for our eyes, then we should use self judgement and just not look at it or partake in it. If we're at an age where we can't really judge for ourselves, then it should be up to the parent to decide what their child(ren) view. Morals are not the issue though. If viewing something is morally wrong, then that's the issue of the viewer, and it's therefore their problem. The government think they're protecting us, but by denying us, they're just making us more curious to discover the unknown.

How ironic.
