Does anyone know what is supposed to happen when the Xbox Video Format is changed? I changed it from Normal to Letter box and tried playing Halo and watching a DVD yet nothing happened to the screen. Is anything meant to heppen? Any information would be greatfully accepted, cheers!
If you select widescreen mode and then play a DVD in widescreen format the DVD becomes a full screen :) The only bad thing is, if you don't have a widescreen then the characters are really squashed up and everything looks strange. Still not sure about Letter Box mode though?!

Halo isn't in widescreen. And maybe the DVD you watched isn't either.
Also, if you're using a 4:3 TV, it may be set to zoom in or stretch the pictures to fit the screen.
