Yes, Donkey Kong Racing will be coming out, and of course, we should see Mario Kart GC in the future, next year.
But as for the more serious racers:
Burnout is one game I can think of
and there will be other less-serious ones like
The Simpsons's Road Rage
and Crazy Taxi.
That's all I can think of now though.
Nintendo consoles have never really been 'well known' for great, realistic racers.
