Why have you all been saying games shouldn't have violence or realism? If you think about it mosty of the games have violence, even Pokemon! As you attack them you can see what pain they go through, children may think 'wow that move looks great' but that's another example of violence. Also driving games have it. They show you how to smash the other cars, smashing into walls on purpose for fun or doing all these skids on the roads! Now you can't do that in real life can you? Did you know this also adds realism to the game?
All the smashing and bashing in a game makes it seem more real life to people, as well as throwing big dinosaur's around a arena or stabbing a huge monster or smashing the living daylights of people out of a whole arena with a bat. What all this says is developers cannot rule out violence out of it or realism as it wouldn't seem right.
