"Ooo the controller is too big"
"My webbing makes it hard to grab the controller"
"I can't fit all the buttons in my mouth at once because it's too big"
Well, now Newsmonkey informs us that the smaller controller is on it's way. Especially for those people that find it hard to grasp console-controllers and manipulate them in order to play the games.
So, what's the next excuse?
It would appear to be mainly sneering disdain and fear from Ninty's, afraid that their Gamecube may not be the best thing in the whole world ever.
It might be, I'm not all the world.
Just because I don't like it, doesn't mean it's crap or it won't sell.
But those people that have made issue of the "over sized controller" for the big black box of joy can't use that one anymore.
So, what's the reason you won't get one now?
"I hate Microsoft"
Yeah, they've only given us Windows (which you ARE using) and home PC systems that you ARE using *with windows and probably explorer* to complain about Microsoft.
"They won't crack the console market and they'll fold"
No.
They.
Won't.
Gates wont allow that, he could buy Nintendo AND Sony if he wanted to.
There wasn't massive amounts of hype because Gates has faith in his system, so why cram it down your throat?
Just release the machine and let people decide.
And there's alread a wider choice of titles considering it's been out for 2 weeks, and they're top quality.
PGR, Halo, Jet Set Radio, NHL, NFL, NBA, Obi-Wan, Wreckless.
So for 14 days, we got some sweet games.
Enjoy your Gamecube/PS2.
Just hush yer yap and let other's enjoy theirs instead of posting nonsense topics that highlight your tiny baby hands instead of over-sized controllers.
Excellent.
> The Xbox controller is perfect.
Err.... that's all I've got to

....
There's a Xbox out there somewhere with my name on it.
I'm not sure

So after all that will you decide to play it at all? :D

Lol!
USA and America.
Duuuuuhhhhh.... And Japan that was supposed to say :-D
The controller IS too big, but I'm a small-for-his-age 13 year old, my hands ARE tiny.
The games are good, but not great.
DOA3 is a highly addictive game, especially when palying against a mate. It is a little too easy on Normal, but if you play it on Hard it starts getting very difficult.
Halo is a very good game, but not as good as it was hyped to be. 8 person online is fantastic fun and co-op is a riot. It is bloody brilliant and is satisfactory, I have no real gripes against it, but from what I was told by Microsoft, I was expecting more.
Project Gotham... I don't like. At all. I generally don't like racers anyway, but for some reaosn I can't put my finger on, I really don't like this.
Jet Set Radio, mates got it, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet.
Wreckless rocks. It is fantastic fun, but not as good as GTA3.
Well, that's the run down of the games he's got, the best one I've played is DOA3, I really enjoy that one.
Personally, from what I've seen, the GameCube is better games-wise and, for once, Nintendo aren't pushing the European market to the background and concentrating on the USA and America. Which excellent. Also, it is cheaper, which is fantastic news for a 13 year old with no regular source of income. Oh, and the controller is the most comfortable of all the next gen consoles, for me anyway.
And that's my opinion.
Thankyou and goodnight.
*RBS thing that explodes into smoke, the smoke clears to reveal RBS walking away*
:-)
But still, what does the controller matter, if the games you want to play are/aren't available on the system? (Delete as applicable)
As always I say buy the console with the games you like, buy them all if you want, just don't be too blinkered not to consider what might realistically be a better option for you.
So, what's the reason you won't get one

I am not. Actually.
Microsoft slowed down and ruined the PC market, infact, we are probably two to three years behind in technology advancements because of them, thats why I love my Macintosh systems.. at least they give you stuff for free and help you. Microsoft have always held information back or purposefully placed bugs onto their operating systems so they can make the 'next one' better and con the market (which is you).
I am not going to have a dig at the XBox. I don't like it at all, thats my opinion and I will enjoy the GameCube and I hope it is a success.
And it's true. A lot of people who say they hate Microsoft, actually use Windows (with the exception of er-no, I believe.)
Halo - great game, not as good as I expected it to be.
Wreckless - seems good. GTA3-like.
PGR - A racing game. I can't remember a racing game being original...but I've never played this one - maybe it is?!
Jet Set Radio Future - The same as the old one.
I'm not the world either, I don't like the Xbox.
I completed Dead or Alive 3 on Normal difficulty when I was playing it in EB - easiest fighter I've ever played.
I didn't have any problems with the Xbox controller. I thought it was quite nice to hold, although the mates I went with didn't like it at all.
