Mario, as you well know is the 'main man' that brings to mind nintendo and whilst sega were alive and kicking in the console market they has the furry blue hedgehog known only as sonic. Now, to theb est of my knowledge Playstation never got a mascot, some will argue it is crash bandicoot, but I dont agree. X-box also do not have a mascot, which could be partly due to their bad luck in marketing their console. Nintendo and Sega are the oldest survivors in the gaming market and they had their mascots. Perhaps having a mascot gives good luck for sales, perhaps its just a coincidence. But if I ever had my own console, and God willing some day I will, I would make sure I had a mascot, just to make sure.
