hi all i have just got mgs 2 and i was wondering if i am ment to be using raiden as my first charactor i did not own mgs for the playstation and i selected the option on new game (i have not played the prevous game but bring on the action) this starts off the game as raiden is that ment to be? and when will i ply as solod snake on the boat mission.

it will take you about 10 hours to complete mgs1 and you will need a memory card the graphics will look a bit out of date but its still a good game.

I just managed to obtain a second hand copy of mgs for £5
i was wondering how long it takes to complete and whether i need a memory card to continue from the end of the first disc to the start of disc 2?

Yep, if you haven't p[layed the first game you start as Raiden.

You only play as Snake if you selected "played first game" at the start.

ALthough I advise you to buy the original first. That said, that means you don't kow what Snake looks like, do you? THen you're in for a good surprise...
