Nintendo officially announced yesterday that Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion will take advsntage of the GBA link, Connecting the two systems after completing the quests in each game will reward players with the option to use the Fusion suit in Metroid Prime in addition to unlocking the original Nes Metroid in Metroid Prime.
If you complete Metroid Prime and then Link up to the GBA you will unlock the Metroid Fusion suit to play on Metroid Prime, and If you complete Metroid Fusion and then connect you will unlock the Nes Metroid Game on the Gamecube, Got that.

In my opinion that is the Best use of the GBA - Gamecube connectivity as yet.

I'm thoroughly looking forward to Fusion and Prime. The only other Metroid game I played was Metroid 2 (I think) on the old mono Game Boy, so unlocking the original NES game sounds "soopa"! *dies*

Too bad it's not the one you get. :-)

I've not played Metroid 2. I'll put it on my list of things to do.

Unlock the NES game eh... sounds great, even if it's not the SNES game.
I'd like to see Metroid's roots, after having never-really noticed it back in the day.

But what's so great about the Fusion Suit?
What can it do that makes it any better-than the one Samus initially has during Metroid Prime? Hopefully even bigger guns. :D

If i was to buy all the stuff for all this game + GBA link up and i don't have the GBA...It would cost..

£13 For Offical Link cable
£65 for GBA
£40+ For Metroid prime
£30- for Metroid fusion

Totalling up too..£148 (I guess its only for ppl who haven't got the GBA)

I'm guessing alot of people have the GBA in the Ninty forum...

Super Metroid is an incredible game!!

The only other one I've played is Metroid 2, where you have to kill all the metroids alive.

I didn't get very far because it was incredibly, incredibly hard.

Having played the Nes Metroid on the PC, it's not something to get excited about. Like the Nes Zelda, it's only for true fans of the series who want to see it's roots.

Like Zelda, Metroid came into it's prime on the Snes (Super Metroid is DAMN good).

Still, it should make an interesting history lesson! :-)
