"Will old PSone games that have long load times improve on the PS2 due to bigger ram?"

Games such as smackdown 2 and mortal kombat trilogy are known for their long loading times on the PSone, but I was wondering if these times would be reduced if they were played on the PS2 due to bigger ram on that system?

Mortal kombat trilogy does NOT, i repeat DOES NOT work on a PS2, we must have read the same magazine because that is where i heard it from.

Does Smackdown 2 and Mortal Kombat Trilogy work with the speed driver. And is it possible to leave the speed and texture drivers on permanently?

Hello Inky. Note that the PS2 speed driver, when set to fast, only works with a few PSone games (ones that don't work include FF8 and 9 and MGS). The smooth textures driver is more successful, and in some games the difference is noticeable.

Hi, I have a question of my own. I havn't yet bought a Playstation 2 but I remember a magazine saying that there was a problem with Mortal Kombat Trilogy running on the PS2, but I can't remember what that problem was. Does anyone know?

Only for the Psone drive and there is no affects as far as I know.
