Now listen, I too when first looking at the GameCube I too thought "My God, Miyamoto and Yamauchi have flipped!" but the I read a little more, thought a little more and looked a little harder. When I took the small effort to do these things I saw what Nintendo wants us to see. The GameCube will be good, It IS good. Why are people basing all their opinions on the name and the looks alone? I'm not saying it will appeal to everyone and everything in the whole universe like fans on the playstation2 are saying but I am simply stating that it will hardly be bad will it? Why would Nintendo pump so much money and time into it if it were rubbish? Nintendo also said that not all the functions and hardware was on show because they are fed up of other companies stealing Nintendo’s Ideas, and quite frankly I don't blame them since Sony has no imagination and originality in the whole of its company. Also, I think these people who are doubting the GameCube should have a little look at the screenshots, movies and list of companies which are developing for GameCube, once they have done this I don't think they can really be upset all that much, I want to play it, you want to play it, so just play it.
The other thing I want to do is say well done to Nintendo with this great little gem and if people are STILL crying about the shape or whatever, DON'T BUY ONE, but I am, I believe in the greatest games company ever - Nintendo.

The cube looks good, Its not a run-of-the-mill box shape its there yelling at you "play me".
Its not going to be stylish and fit onto your shelf so that you can forget about it, its going to be under your TV (or where ever) with its colours that stand out and it will catch your eye and you will WANT to play it.
What I would have realy liked is a Ice-cube blue (a bit like a cloudless brilliant blue sky in the summer) with a slightly metalic look to it. A silver (or metal) front pannel and a similar combo for the controler.

My first thought when seeing the GC for the first time, was "What the hell?".

But the Zelda demo did more than enough to convince me Nintendo is the way (as it always has been)
