You've heard of American Mcgees Alice right ? That platform game by EA on the PC. Well there are figures of the characters over in the states. Me and my gf are both fans of that game and she picked me up an Alice figure complete with the cheshire cat. ;-)) I'm guessing its like those figures going around of film characters, etc.
Really hope Alice comes out on X-Box, its an excellent game and I don't know why EA haven't brought it onto a console yet.
I also went into a shop at my local high street and its selling MGS2 figures. Looked at the back at who was available in the set and Vamp isn't there. :-(
As far as I know, the set is Solid Snake, Raiden, Solidus, Olga, Ocelot and Fortune. You get an extra with each figure. When you buy all the figures, these parts go together to make Metal Gear Ray. Very nice - also £15 - £16 each though !
When I goto the States I'll probably end up coming back with all the Alice figures I still need. ;-)
I never bothered buying RC. It looked nice but not the sort of

Yeah, RC was a lovely looking game, but deep down it was just a graphical showcase. Great to play at first, but soon wore thin. Apart from the speed, you couldn't tell any difference in the perormance of the cars.
Like I've said in other posts, I probably will get another one, but not until I've sampled the Gamecube. That is getting a lot of great 3rd party support, and should be a good accompanyment to an XBox.
I still have my PC and PS2 to keep me occupied for now though (not to mention my wife and daughter, LOL!!)

Yep, if you have broadband you need a 512k download rate and a 256k upload rate. If you have broadband go to www.gamespy.com and have a look for "Xbox tunnelling software" or something along those lines.
It got so embarressing taking it back all the time cause they must have thought I was kicking the crap out of it or something.

Got back to work on Monday and I was surprised at just how many people there have bought an X-Box. A lot of others are looking into buying one over the next few weeks too, a few even trading in their PS2's to get one.
Looks like the word is getting around.
Anyway, games apart, my XBox decided to lose game saves and start dishing out disk read-errors at random. I took it back for a replacement, and a few days later the same happened. It also happened to my friends too, so I got my cash back and will wait for the Gamecube now, saving some cash in the process.
I have a PS2 anyway, so this isn't such a big deal for me. Others may flame this post and disagree. Maybe we got a bad batch at the shop we got them from, but still...
If you go and play on one of the Gamecube demo-pods, the first time you hold the Gamecube controller you will feel like you are in heaven. I didn't mind the XBox controller until I played with the Gamecubes!! It is *so* perfect!!
You pays your money, you takes your choice. My advice is if you have a PS2, wait for the Gamecube and hold back on the XBox fora while. If not, an XBox aint' such a bad choice (if you are a risk taker!)
Something like that anyway. ;-)
