I wanna light gun.

I have a SONY 28" Widescreen WEGA TV, does anyone know if the light gun works with this TV correctly?

Namco's site doesn't mention my tv but it does mention a 32" version and it says that it won't work.

I haven't bothered trying. I think its fine the way it is, I only notice the couple of centimetres on the calibration screen, when the crosshair comes up.

Did you get one then?

Tom, does yours work fine if you put the TV into 4:3 mode?

There is a code to press at the calibration screen. I think it is Trigger + C, but I'm not entirly sure. Anyway, this code uses a two point calibration, which is better for widescreens.

I have the Panasonic version of the Wega, in widescreen, and it works (28 inch). It still misses off a couple of centimetres on the left of the screen. But this is hardly noticable.

I also have a LG 21inch flatscreen (4:3), and it works on that too. So as long as your TV isn't 100hz, it should work. As the widescreen or flatscreen shouldn't cause a problem. But don't hold me to that, as I don't own a Sony TV.

Maybe if you get it from a local SR store, or EB/game, or anywhere that has a no quibble return policy, you could try it to see if it works.

Ive heard that the gun fires off target most of the time on wide screen tele's but I think theres a solution to this, im not actually sure what it is, something to do with firing just above the target on the gun calibrating screen, but can't remember what it actually is. I think ive seen someone mention it on here a while ago, so if they are reading this can you help?
