"I thought Eternal Darkness was said to be rubbish..?"

Can't remember where I heard it, but at a report from some games show the crowd had ignored it and it was said to be very bad. Especially seeing Resident Evil existed.
Explain please.

Actually the Camera does swoop from area to area but it is fixed.

Praise the lord! Another game gets added to my endless want list :( Why can't companies stagger release dates instead of sending out every game at Christmas? It can't help sales that much because half of these excellent games are going to get forgotten in the rush to buy Sunshine and the like.

I should think you control your chracter directly, the backgrounds are all in the real time, there's no pre rendered stuff like in Resi so the camera moves freely around with your character.

Nope some people said it wasn't amazing at E3 because adventure games take a while to get into... and then when they got to play it properly it got critical acclaim.

It did get quite a lot of bad remarks and comments about it when it was first heard-about, mainly because it looked like just-another Resident Evil clone.

But ever-since we heard of things like the Sanity Meter and how different it really is, we've all come to love it.

Well... most of us. I still don't see what's so 'great' about it..

Lost kingdoms is the only adventure game ive heard/read bad things about... Eternal Darkness only gets good words from what ive seen so far.

I haven't read a single bad review for the game, it looks superb. One thing that's hit me is the quality of the voice acting in the clips, if the whole game is of this high standard I reckon we could be looking at one hell of an immersive game.

Can't wait till Friday...well obviously I can but...

That's new to me.

It's not got graphics as good as Resi, but they game itself is meant to be a lot better. It's meant to have this Sanity meter and everything...
