'I'm gona get a playstation 2 for christmas, and I'm gonna get a widescreen tv to play it on.
i asked him how much he thought he was going to get for christmas.
he said £170!
I told him he's be lucky to get over a 5 inch screen tv with that money!
then I asked him why he wanted a PS2.
he said 'its the best one out. GC is for kids, and the x-box is for grown ups' luckily, I had a recent SR mag in my bag. I showed him he different games for the GC, and some for the *shudder* X-box, and he said:
'yeah, but all my friends have PS2's. I said that was probably for the same reasons you were going to buy a PS2. the GC has four controller ports, and memory cards, so you can have four player multi-player games, without buying a multitap, and take your saves of secret charicters and levels over to your mates. [i didn't tell him the ps2 had this :)]
He said: 'I dont really like the look of some of the games, they are too colorful'. i said that the GC had most of the good games on the PS2, like burnout, and timesplitters2. I asked him if his mum would let him have 15-18 certificate games. No, i didn't think she would have. I told the kid that he and his mum knew almost as little about thew PS2 as they did the GC and the *shudder* X-Box. i told him most of the most popular PS2 games were desighned to be violent, such as GTA3, or SOE, with some good games, such as jak+daxter, and etc.
afterwards, he said that he might buy a GC instead, because he liked multiplayers, and the PS2 only had two ports, which made it a little boring.
how dy'a like it! a [almost] succesful conversion!

Urgh! Neither you did. :-)
I just presumed that you were talking about Burnout 2 as all the other games you were talking about were in the future of the Cube.
Maybe not though. Maybe I'm just stoned.
