Of course, Mario Sunshine is superb. But where are the next batch of platformers? Now Rare are gone, we need sombeody to replace them as the prime makers of excellent platformers. Vexx looks cool, but Crash Bandicoot 5 does not. Where are the others?

What are Silicon Knights doing now ED s finsished? I hope its a huge 3-D -platformer!

DR muto looks promising. some of th screenshots make it looks slightly crash-esque though.

My friend told me the Rare deal went under, and wasn't completed? Ah well. Anyway, Nintendo are, and will always be the prime makers of excellent platformers. And if you want some, look at these:

Gamecube would of been even better if Rare had not of left.

I had alot of games on my N64 made by Rare, but I sure hope that there will be more platform games coming out in the future.

But a lot of N64 platformers were developed by Rareware. Although, my favourite N64 platformer was / is Super Mario 64, so I suppose that's a good sign.

There's Rayman 3 coming out early next year, Wario world in December. There's few coming out before Xmas that don't look very good, Ty the Tazmanian Devil anyone?

I expect a new Donkey Kong game to get announced sometime soon.

Wario World is in development, but in my opinion that's not looking like it's going to send me into a Wario-based frenzy. And... that's it. Apart from Wario World, Vexx and Crash Bandicoot 5, I haven't heard news on any other platformers. But with Namco making the sequel to Starwing and Lylat Wars 64, maybe Nintendo will employ other developers to develop some more games starring their big name characters.
