Okay, I'm a Nintendo retard, have never brought a Ninty magazine in my life and the only way I hear of games is through you guys, seeing them in stores or from strange hallucinations.
Anyway:
A) When is GC Final Fantasy planned for release
B) Will it be just another FF, but on GC, or will there be any specific additions to the gameplay or anywhere else?
C) Are they GameCube exclusives?
D) Who are the characters?
E) Is it on or off line?
F) Any new bits in the battles?

'Tis completely different indeed. It supposidly has a Secret of Mana style combat system (which is RPG style combat put completely in real time), instead of the turn based style from before.

Dunno, there was a picture of it, can't actually tell if it's a bloke or a girl though...

Offline. But a new Final Fantasy is being made for the GBA as well, it will most probably be the biggest use of the link up yet. They WILL link up a whole lot.
