Does the official PS2 keyboard work with Quake 3, Unreal Tournament and TS2 ?
checked a few websites and couldn't find the answers.
Otherwise I'll have to go to Game and look at the boxes - reason for asking is I love these two games and want to get them for PS2 but hate using a joypad for First Person Shooters

I can just use the USB ones off my i-Mac.
Work just fine, no problems.

I also bought a cheap USB keyboard for a couple of quid. Works fine on anything that supports it (including YaBasic), which is more than you can say for the Datel one.
Don't use it anymore though, as Wookiee said - hardly any games support it.

Good point Nat I will get a cheap USB keyboard at weekend.
I had the datel one which was pants as it typed to many letters for one key press. So then I got a £4 USB keyboared from a computer fair and it works fine with YABasic and Unreal but not sure about Quake.
Again I can only put it down to laziness on the part of the developers. The keyboards, although not official, are freely available.

can't believe all FPS don't support keyboard, is it because Sony don't officially do one ? will one be compatible when PS2 goes online ??

As far as I know, there is no 'official' keyboard in the shops yet - just the Datel one.
As far as I know, it works with Unreal; I don't think Quake supports a keyboard at all, and I *know* that TimeSplitters 2 doesn't.
Also, the Datel keyboard does not work with YABASIC which was supplied with PS2 - if that bothers you at all.
