It didn't quite have the full effect on me as I knew a scare was coming. I loaded uo the page and it said 'loading'. I waited a bit and it still said loading so I clicked back (I'm always suspicious of these things as I think people will have put a link to a page which simply says 'loading' forever just to waste people's time and see how long they spend waiting for something to happen). So I read the first rteply to the topic and it said something about a scare so I loaded up the page again and it worked almost instantly. I was waiting for something to happen, and when it did I was therefore ready for it.

However, I did get a scare earlier on tonight when walking to the bus stop after an entire day of 8 player Timesplitters 2 at my mates house. I had no idea it was halloween, it was around 7 o'clock and very dark. I was walking down a fairly narrow road and there was a dwarf like figure in front of me (about 10 paces ahead) wearing a black hooded cloak. I immediately had a vision of the dwarf in 'Don't Look Now' as the scene at the end where you see the dwarf's face and it slashes Donald Sutherland's neck is a scene that will always remain with me as the first time I saw it I was about 6 and it scared the hell out of me. Anyway, as I say, I was walking down the road with the dwarf figure in front, thinking about Don't Look Now, when the dwarf looked round. It's face was twisted, slashed, bleeding and all sorts! It was of course a mask but this didn't initially occur to me so it was quite a scary sight. It crossed the road and kept walking and that's when I saw a banner in a house window saying 'Happy Halloween'. Oh I felt such a fool!

The thing is, I had been talking to my friend a few minutes earlier about him getting slaughtered by a serial killer on the way home. He had to walk down an EXTREMELY dark road where there were quite a few homeless people you see. That obviously put thoughts in my mind which is why I thought of Don't Look Now when I saw the kid. God knows what I'd have done if I walked around him, or I was closer when he turned around!
