Gone is the ability to duck, instead you are going to have to be very fast on that trigger, reloading is done by pressing a button or shooting off screen. The enemies no longer all die with one hit, the promised "vulnerable points" idea- where certain creatures need certain areas shooting to kill them - is amazing and makes for a much better game, and far more frantic as well ! There are these facehugger type things which cling to civlians faces and then transform them into weird monster/vampire things, and to stop them you have to hit the face hugger creature, not easy when you're already under attack and it's victim is running around wildly. When you do hit a creature enough they go out in style, disappearing into dust, like in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, in many cases, others being catapulted back by your volley of shots. The enemies aren't random but each new play of the demo still seems to cause a few surprises because it is just so fast. In a later part you have to protect this child who follows you and she gets taken by the creatures which then have to be taken down with pin point accuracy - and with the Gcon2 missing is entirely the players fault !
In short, its way better than the magazine review suggests, so play it, go buy a Gcon2, and get ready for what is going to be the best light gun game on Playstation 2 ! It really is far better than I'd hoped... :)
simple as that.
whens it out?
