Oops, Britney Spears has done it again - set fire to her house for a second time.
The singer's New York apartment was almost destroyed when she left a candle burning in her bedroom, according to the Daily Star.
Britney had just flown back from Paris to spend time with family and friends, following reports of her split with long-term boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
She lit the candle as she was getting ready for a night on the town with friends but forgot to blow it out when she left.
Her mother, Lynne, said: "Brit had left the candle burning in front of an air vent. The wall caught fire, and the fire department had to come and put it out".
The Union Square home was badly damaged.
But her mother revealed it's not the first time the 20-year-old has set fire to her house.
"Brit left a candle burning in her bathroom in our Louisiana home and caught the bathroom on fire. But she has learned a lesson this time."
Britney is now blazing a new trail towards London to promote her film Crossroads, which premieres in the UK on Monday.
