I got the latest OXM today, for the Splinter Cell demo. Haven't played it yet because I've been reading the mag.
And I did actually have to check a few times to make sure that they'd put the right magazine in the outer wrapping.
Why?
PS2, that's why.
In the first 20 or 30 pages, they must have mentioned it about 8 times or more; I really thought that I'd bought a PS2 magazine. The only giveaway was the fact that 'PS2' was usually followed with some detrimental comment. Now I don't know about the official Nintendo mag, but you don't get this nonsense in the official PS2 mag.
Are these people just obsessed with PS2, or are they paid by MS to have a dig at PS2 at every opportunity?
You'd think, the way sales are going, that they'd spend more time talking up the Xbox and less time talking down the opposition.
Funniest thing I've read so far, though, is on the letters page. Some goofball has written in asking if he'll get another reward following the recent price cut. But that's not the funny part. The funny part is that he starts his letter, "As a proud owner of the leading console".

As I type this, Stargate is on in the background, and Daniel Jackson has been transported to an alternate reality. Presumably, the guy who wrote this letter is also there...

Yes but you missed my point. PSW said the reason PS2 was getting wreakless was because developers were dropping Xbox. If thats the way they look at things the PS2 is doing terrible, losing loads of big exclusive games like Frontline and MGS- coming to xbox with improvements.

Yea I too think Sega GT isn't as good as "the real thing" so to speak.
But you know, demos can sometimes make or break a game, giving off the wrong vibe. The Max payne demo was crap but the game's good.

It's not a patch on GT3! But then, that's down to personal opinion, and I like GT3.

PSW is really biased against Xbox, creating articles titled MicroStuffed saying Xbox is selling pathetically in Japan and how developers are abandioning it, they say the reason PS2 is getting Wreakless. They opnly type Xbox is rubbish everywhere.
Another example is when someone wrote into PSW and said he felt halo on his friends Xbox was superior to his PS2 games. The letters editors respoce was "xbox is just a stupid product of a greeedy corporation, MS arn't like sony who want to make great games, not fill their wallets" Etc.
