Today I arrived home from school to find a letter on the table addressed to me. I immediately opened it and was amazed to find that American Express were offering me a gold card. I have a "good credit history" although I dont yet have a bank account, just a building society one.

I am quite angered that a company is already harassing me to chose their best credit plan with no fee's for 18 months crap, when im still at the tender age of 15. Its irrespectible of my youth and forcing me into making premature decisions. I am SO going to try to sue them.

Has anyone else got stupid crap like this through the post or am I the only one?

If you're only 15, you're not eligible for a credit card anyway. They aren't "forcing" you to do anything, they're just spam mailing. All credit card companies do it.

You do realise you can't actually sue them...
Just be happy that someone actually knows where you live and can be bothered to send you a letter.
You could have got the card, closed the account and framed it, probably the last time you'll be allowed one :p

I've never recieved anything through the post, although one time when I was only 13 (13, for God's sake!!!) and walking through the centre of Cardiff, I was approached by a woman who handed me a leaflet offering me 30% off Going Places Holidays. Quite what she thought what uses a 13-year old would have for that, I'm not entirely sure. Tsk!

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
