Does anyone know if it's possible to use Blogger.com to update a website hosted by Freeola? I'm unsure of the ins and outs of how this works, but it seems like it might fall into the same category as connecting via a different provider. Thanks in advance for posting your experiences and unwarranted flames ; )

Erm...I'm really quite a beginner at this. It might be best if you had a look: I've set up the sort of thing I'm looking for at:

http://dialspace.dial.pipex.com/town/green/ylt63/index.html

Blogger just automates the publishing and archiving of your posts, using the template I've put a link to. Anything outside the Blogger tags can be changed. I tried setting up a page on a freeola account, which didn't work; I assume because Blogger.com is ftping the stuff not me. Anyway, I was thinking that if its possible to display an .html file in a table then I could use freeola to host my domain name and the main bits of my site; and then use another server to host a simplified weblog like the test file I've linked to. I figured out the javascript for displaying different images on the right hand table, but I'm stuck on how to display a webpage in the left hand table. I don't really want to use frames because, first, I think they look messy and, second, since this is my first attempt I'm confused enough already. Any ideas?

Oh right, I see now.

You could get a PHP/CGI Script from the net to do some Logging, what kinda logging does this other site have?

Well I WAS planning to use the Freeola dial-up to connect to blogger - just not sure if it's going to work. I'm thinking about buying a domain name and getting freeola to host it: but I want a weblog as part of my site, so this is going to decide whether I buy here or elsewhere.

I'm not sure if you can use that site to update yours technically, however Freeola won't allow you to do this, as they loose their only souce of income on Freeola, so if you did use that site and Freeola found out, you could get your account dissabled.

I wouldn't risk it :o).
