That was a while ago mind. The fighting system was a bit of a jip as well. It wasn't quite turn based, but you didn't exactly have full control either.
I prefer my attack systems to know where they're at. Either its turn based, choose your attack wisely stuff, OR its mash buttons until declared victorious. Summoner was just weird - it was like very very precise button mashing.
It worked in Vagrant Story, but not so much in this.
Each to their own and all that jazz, but a text heavy precision patience test is not my idea of fun.
