why are all the Xbox games etc released in America and Japan first? and months before the UK? :|

It is like this at the moment because the console is new. US is its home ground, and Japan is always traditionally the first to get the technology (not this time tho'!!)
One "corporate" reason is the logistics of releasing a game in all regions at the same time, both in terms of manufacturing them, and the translations. Europe is a nightmare because of all the different languages, which is one reason why we are always last.
Don't worry though, as more developers are on board and people are comfortable with the platform in terms of economic stability (sales!!), you will start to see more UK born games come out in Europe first.
