This is my first proper match in the forum so could you give me any suggestions you think could improve my future matches.

----------------------------------------------------

After defending their tag titles in the epic triple threat ladder match at Rumble in the Jungle the Hardy Boyz (Ice Blaster and Grandprix) are set to defend their titles against the team of D'Lo Brown (Allardini) and the Godfather (Tazz).

Howard Finkel begins his introduction. "The following match is scheduled for one fall and is for the Tag Team Titles. Introducing first being accompanied by Lita weighing in at 449 pounds, Matt and Jeff the Hardy Boyz." The crowd goes wild as The Hardyz and Lita come dancing down to the ring. "And the challengers weighing in at 545 pounds, D'Lo Brown and the Godfather. The crowd response is not quite as big as for the Hardyz but the crowd are cheering for the Godfathers ladies. D'Lo looks unhappy despite 2 of the Godfather's ladies in his arms after his loss in the Intercontinental title match to Billy Gunn and is not shaking his head as much as usual.

D'Lo and Matt will start things off in the ring. D'Lo charges straight at Matt with a hard clothesline knocking Matt down. He seems to be in a no-nonsense mood and follows it up with some elbow drops. Matt begins to fight his weigh to his feet with a punch to D'Lo's mid section. Matt takes hold of D'Lo and whips him into the ropes and hits him with a swinging neckbreaker, but D'Lo gets straight back up. Matt hits him with some quick right hands and backs into the ropes and comes back with a clothesline. This time D'Lo doesn't get up. Matt seizes his opportunity and goes towards the turnbuckle and climbs to the second rope.

Legdrop by Matt, this match could it be over quickly. Cover, 1..2.. No the Godfather breaks it up. While the referee ushers the Godfather out of the ring D'Lo hits a low blow on Matt and follows it up with a huge body slam. Matt gets to his feet but D’Lo tries to set him up for the Sky High but Matt counters with a kick to D’Lo’s shin followed up with a DDT. D’Lo holds his head in pain. Matt tries to drag D’Lo over to his corner but D’Lo gets to his feet and hits Matt with an Enzyguri kick.

D'Lo staggers over to the corner to tag in the Godfather. Matt's back up and hits the Godfather with a vertical suplex as he steps into the ring. Matt runs towards the ropes where Jeff tags himself in. On his way back Matt knocks Godfather down with a shoulder block. He gets up but Jeff whips him into the turnbuckle and sets him up for the...

Poetry in motion! The Godfather is down and Matt slides out of the ring. D'Lo jumps into the ring to help his teammate, but is caught by Jeff who gives him an armdrag sending him crashing to the canvas. Jeff looks to the crowd and runs to turnbuckle. Could we see the Swanton bomb?

No! D'Lo rolls out of the ring! The Godfather is on his feet and picks up Jeff who is lying on agony after his failed Swanton. That error could prove costly. The Godfather drags Jeff to his feet and hits a huge powerslam. He again picks up Jeff and attempts to whip him into the turnbuckle, to set him up for the Ho Train, but Jeff counters. Whisper is in the Wind from Jeff knocking the Godfather down. It's taken a lot out of both of them and both men are down. Both men are struggling to their corners Matt and Lita are urging Jeff on while D’Lo and the Godfathers ladies are urging the Godfather on and the crowd are cheering both of them.

Both tag in their partners at the same time and D’Lo and Matt charge headfirst towards each other. Matt attempts a clothesline but D’Lo ducks they come back off the ropes and now Matt ducks under D’Lo’s clothesline. However this time he stops and executes a perfect backdrop suplex on D’Lo sending the crowd into a frenzy. Matt drags D’Lo to his feet and sets him up for the Twist of Fate and he hits it. Jeff sees what’s going on and climbs the nearest turnbuckle.

Swanton Bomb! Jeff rolls out of the way to let Matt make the cover. 1..2.. no the Godfather has broken it up with a hard stomp on Matt’s head. Jeff immediately attacks Godfather with some punches but the Godfather fights back with some punches of his own before knocking Jeff over the top rope with a superkick. Matt’s on his feet but the Godfather’s spotted him. He hits Matt with a quick kick to the midsection and then hits the Pimp Drop.

Matt looks to be out cold and the Godfather goes for the cover but the referee refuses to make the count because he’s not the legal man. The Godfather stands up looking angry. He looks around to see Lita on the top rope who looks ready for the Litacanrana. The Godfather’s having none of this and lifts Lita off the turnbuckle and places her on the apron. Lita tries to fight back by grabbing the Godfather’s hair. The referee walks over to try and separate the two but before he can do anything the Godfather swings round accidentally knocking the referee down.

In the confusion both D’Lo and Matt have got to their feet and are exchanging punches. D’Lo gets the upper hand before delivering the Sky High to Matt but there’s no referee to make the count.

Suddenly the arena goes black. It’s the Hurricane (Raziel). D’Lo gets straight to his feet when he sees the man who cost him the intercontinental title but is knocked straight back down with a flying cross-body from the Hurricane. The Hurricane immediately grabs the Godfather and gives him the Eye of the Hurricane before dragging him out of the ring. Jeff has finally awoken on the outside and is back on the apron. He surveys the carnage in the ring and jumps to the top rope.

Swanton Bomb onto D’Lo. Jeff drags Matt onto D’Lo to make the cover. Magically at that moment the referee comes to. 1…2…3.

“Ladies and Gentlemen your winners and still Tag Team Champions… the Hardy Boyz.”

As Matt and Jeff stagger up the ramp they know they were lucky but have to take any win they get. For the second time in two weeks D’Lo has been screwed out of a title by the Hurricane. When will this end and what does the Hurricane want?

-------------------------------------------------

Congratulations to Ice Blaster and Grandprix who once again retain the tag team titles.

Hehe, that was superb Mike, especially for a first match. It was very high-paced and full of action, and what a lot of people do on their first match is try to use loads of weapons to 'impress' us by making it really big and special. This is a mistake, and fortunately you provided us with an excellent wrestling match.

Congrats to the Hardy Boys (IB and Matt), they're looking pretty unbeatable at the moment.

That was great... well for a debuting match anyway.

Of perfect length *cough* Shaneo *cough* :D and it was well written.

Damn those Hardy Boyz still! I don't like them too much.

That was a decent attempt. It's not easy when D'Lo Brown hasn't wrestled for a few months. The action was well-described, the length was good, it was paragraphed well, which made it easy to read. As Starlight said, capitals add a certain sense of drama. Shove them in and we have an accomplished match writer.

It was a quality match because myself and Ice Blaster won and it kept the Hurricane - D'Lo Brown storyline going. The promo will hopefully make this storyline more clear. Keep it tuned to the WWF forum! :D

I wrote a match longer this and I recieved a lot of criticism, with people saying that it wasn't long enough and it had to be a lot longer for a PPV etc and so on went the incoherent drivel.

Probably because I was just starting out then, I dunno.

You biased lot...:0)
