First off will be "Godémon - 'God'a catch 'em all" an RPG in a similar vein to Pokémon in which you must travel around the Indian Subcontinent catching different Gods and Goddesses, with the eventual goal being to capture Brahman, though this will be a particularly difficult quest, as no image exists of this God, though it's intelligence is in every living cell.
What promises to be really impressive about this title is the battle system. Rather than use a tired turn based system 'Hindu Heroes' hope to give the battles a typical beat em-up feel. Just imagine that, using the special moves of your newly captured Ganesh to take on an old rival's more experienced Vishnu!
Although this is the only game to have been announced so far, a few suggestions of what may be coming up in recent years were given to us, and if these titles make it onto the shelves they could be very good indeed!
A title based on the dancing Shiva, could well incorporate a 'dance-mat' though a Parappa the Rappa' style button bressing game is thought to be more likely. As Shiva's dance is a symbol of the rhythm of existence, the never ending dynamic process of creation and destruction it is thought to be a very popular choice for game material, with you controlling Shiva, dancing and destroying as you go.
Ganesh's elephant head is also thought to be a possible concept for a game, though there are many differnet stories regarding the origin of Ganesh, and how he came to have an elephant head. This of course, simply leads to more possibilities for the game, that would probably be a 3D adventure, as you search the lamnd for an appropriate head.
So 'Godémon' is coming along nicely, and the little information we have on follow up games seems to be very promising indeed.
How will the 'Development Disciples' react to this? Will other religions jump on the video-game bandwagon? And most importantly, who will win over the hearts and beliefs of gamers?
Reminded me of a Simpsons epsiode, where the Flanders kids are playing "Convert the sinners" or something.
"Look! There's a jew!"
"I got him!"
"Yay!"
But seriously, I know

Some of the best ideas are borne out of jest, you know.
And you're right, looking again at some of the pictures of the Gods and the like, and having a quick look at some of the myths and legends based around the religion you have an interesting graphical style, plus plenty of scope for different types of games.

The dancing Shiva idea actually sounds very good. I can hear the rolling drums and sitars now. -Twang-.
