for some reason van nistelrooy isnt scoring much this season. last season he scored 36 goals! twice as much as shevchenko scored with 17 goals. but this season both totti and figo have scored more than him, recoba and rivaldo have assisted 6 each and vieri has already scored 21. i might get rid of van nistelrooy and buy crespo or claudio lopez. kily gonzalez looks good too, shot accuracy - 93 means he is quite versatile and can put him anywhere.

by the way if you tried to just sell them, then they just leave, and you LOSE money cos they take wages.no one buys them if you do this, so u make no money. what you have to do is wait until other teams start to make offers. i kept suspending negotiations for hyppia and in the 4th negotiation period i got 11000 credits for him from liverpool, when id bought him off them for about 6000

i sold a few players but got nothing for it, why?????

Got 30,000 transfer points in the "bank" ready to spend after getting into division 2 by the playoffs and winning the Tiny cup. Sold Ronald De Boer and Barry Ferguson and some substitutes for about 15,000 points so am looking to spend big.

Fancy a couple of decent defenders but there does not seem to be many about apart from Nesta, Ferdinand and Campbell

Any suggestions as to any other essential purchases?

For my Extreme mode team I just have the usual reserves + D.C.deene of Eternal england and Ravi of Immortal Italy. I've cut my team down to the minimum of 16 players becasue you need as many points as possible for extreme mode when your only getting 400 points (- wages) a victory!

I haven't even got to the stage where I can buy players yet. :)

I find cups with international teams much more interesting for some reason.

Cheers for the tips. I use Rebrov as he fast and skillfull, while Dioufe has good shooting and speed. Doni is a great shooter and dribbler so I use him aswell. He was free and now all the teams want him!

I have gave them all full stats so i aint cheating. Infact i have actually copied the stats for them off other players already on the game,

i.e Stubbs = Weir

natbuc, a lot of my players were free. they are the ones with the prices in white? i think. this meant i could get a few great players for nothing. my subs are mostly free. i think. however, some other teams often get the free ones, so get them fast.

i also went for a REALLY fast side. eg babangida, mpenza, olisadebe. put at least one fast player on the wing, and one thats good at headering as a forward( it doesnt have to be a proper forward, for ages in division 3 i used hyppia, and hes greatat headering). then just keep passing to that side and have the player run up the wing and do a low cross in. it works every time!
